A LITTLE EXTRACT OF OUR HIKING PROGRAMME
Depending on the weather, the fancy and the form of the guests
Monday:
Little warming-up walking through the walking nature trail at the end of the valley. Along the devil’s water, lunch halt at the Saalalm. The hotel bus brings the walkers towards the end of the valley, walking time of three hours.
Tuesday:
Wetterkreuz-Spielberghaus: we hike to Saalbach via the “Promenade”. Ascension to the Spielberghaus on the Pascherweg. After the lunch break at the alp we go back to Hinterglemm via the Bern- and the Reiterkogel. The hiking lasts approximately 5 hours.
Wednesday:
Hiking of the Pinzgau: Gorgeous crests hiking from the Schmittenhöhe to Hinterglemm along the Schattberg and the Hacklbergeralm. Ascent with the cable car, hiking in altitude with magnificent views onto the 3000 metres high mountains of Großvenedig, Großglockner and the Kitzsteinhorn. At the Hackerbergeralm, you’ll find a sensational cheese. You’ll hike during 6 hours.
Thursday:
Do you want to learn the nordic walking technique? It’s very easy and you’ll get your certificate at the end of the day. On our way we’ll make a stop at a beekeeper where you’ll learn a bit about the breeding of the bees. That’s the honey you can enjoy everyday at the hotel.
Friday:
Hiking to the lake of Hochtor: Ossmanalm – Saaljoch – Hochtorsee. Those who are very brave dare a dive in the lake. But be careful: 15°C is a record temperature for water at an altitude of 1800 meters. You’ll savour your snack all the better! Via Pfandebene towards Lindlingalm. Walking time: 6 hours
And what can the hiker do in the WINTER?
We are also the right place for the guests who prefer to explore the Glemm valley while doing a snowshoe hike, taking a sleigh ride or doing nordic walking.
We have got a sports programme for our guests called “Out of the runs” from Monday to Friday; a certificated sports instructor will accompany you.
